Kumasi Learning Centre
The Kumasi Learning Center, located at Amanfrom (AK-634-4816), off the Bantama-Barekese highway, is just about 15 minutes’ drive from Bantama and 25 minutes from the Kumasi International Airport. Bantama is a major sub-metropolitan area in Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti Region of Ghana. Situated in the lower middle belt of the country, Kumasi is the seat of the renowned Ashanti Kingdom, home to the industrious Ashanti people and the great king, Otumfuor Osei Tutu II. It is known for its kente, gold, forest products, and rich historical background that makes the city a world-acclaimed cultural center.
The Kumasi Learning Center of GCTU has since 2012 churned out undergraduate, KNUST-affiliated students and graduate, Coventry University-affiliated students. Over the period, Kumasi has successfully delivered diploma, bachelor, and master’s degree courses under three faculties of Engineering, I.T. Business, and Computing & Information Systems. The Center has 10 lecture halls, a 32-seater computer lab, a library, and offices for lecturers and staff. Currently, the center has 13 senior members, and 15 staff.
Kumasi learning center with its affable staff and faculty is indeed a welcoming center for knowledge-seeking students, and has a strong belief in the GCTU motto, “knowledge comes from learning”.
